I started using the BeOS in 1996, but did not really start programming seriously for the BeOS until 1998. My first application I decided would be an ftp client, because the existing ftp clients did not live up to my expectations and I thought I could do a much better job.

Even though I work at Metrowerks Corp, I try my best to keep on developing for the BeOS in my spare time.
